Man arrested for harassing neighbors
SOUTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, Fla. (WSVN) -- Police have arrested a man who has been harassing his neighbors for almost a year.
Mitchell Lgelko was arrested for criminal mischief. According to his arrest report, police said he was observed spraying the city's right of way with an unknown liquid. The next day, police said, the grass on his neighbor's lawn began to die. "I see a red nozzle throwing some type of liquid," said concerned neighbor Francisco Torres.
Torres said there has been an ongoing dispute with Lgelko. Police said, Lgelko has been harassing his neighbors by throwing eggs in their front yard and chemicals to burn their grass.
On Friday, a state investigator from DERM was in the neighborhood to get some grass samples.
Torres has installed a video surveillance system all around his house. In one video, a white truck is seen passing by Torres' home with what appears to be a spray coming out from the truck. "I waited 48 hours and then the grass started to change to brown, and that is when I decided to get all the videos," said Torres.
Lgelko did not want to comment on this case.
