SOUTHWEST RANCHES, Fla. (WSVN) -- Two men were saved in the swamp after their airboat capsized.

Broward Sheriff's Office deputies set out on an all-day search for the men, which began at 11:45, Saturday morning.

The driver of the boat called home telling his wife he had overturned his airboat at Holiday Park in Southwest Ranches.

Hours later, he never came home, and she never heard from him, so she called police.

"Yeah, flipped it over," said Joe McKenna. "That's what happened. Went too fast and turned."

"The main thing is everybody is safe," said Ryan Fisher, who was also on the boat. "We're all back here and everything's good."

BSO search efforts found the two men just before 4 p.m.

They stood on top of the sinking boat to keep out of the water. Both men were dehydrated but are OK.
