BTU elects new president

TAMARAC, Fla. (WSVN) -- The Broward Teacher's Union has elected a new leader.

Parkland Middle School teacher Sharon Glickman has been chosen as the new BTU president.

More than 2,500 votes were cast, and the votes were tallied on Tuesday.

She will begin representing the union's more than 10,000 members next month.
