HIALEAH, Fla. (WSVN) -- One person has died and four others have been hospitalized after a car crashed into two trees.

The fatal accident happened in the area of West 43rd Street and Second Avenue in Hialeah, Wednesday afternoon.

According to Hialeah Police, there were five high school teens inside a two-door yellow Chevy when it flipped over. "We all ran and flipped the car over and there was still one guy inside that was still alive," said Yoslandy Herrera.

One person died on the scene. The four others have been transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital. Their conditions are unknown at this time.

A witness said the car was speeding when it lost control, hit a tree, then hit another tree and flipped over. "I thought it was one of my friends, so I came rushing, and as soon as I got to the scene my neighbors were all saying, 'Oh, let's flip the car. There's two more people in there,'" said    Manny Garcia. "So we flipped the car, and we opened the passenger seat, and we just saw a girl not moving, so we knew she wasn't doing too well."

Officials believe no other cars were involved in the accident.

The identity of the deceased person has not been released at this time. Friends of the victims said some of  the teens injured in the crash attend Hialeah High School. "We're close friends, and once we heard the news we just came running," said one female classmate. "We couldn't believe it, we had to see it with our own eyes."

Grisel Verdecia is one of the survivors and her aunt said she's doing fine. "We've been getting a lot of calls and all that, but she's good," said the woman.

Police continue to investigate the crash.
