Dead man found on anchored sailboat in Florida
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (AP) -- Daytona Beach police say a dead man discovered lying over the railing of an anchored sailboat appears to have died accidentally.
The man's body was discovered Saturday morning on the Halifax River.
Police tell The Daytona Beach News-Journal that a passing boater spotted the roughly 60-year-old man lying over the railing of the 27-foot sailboat.
Police say the man had injuries to the back of his head and it appeared that something from the boat hit him in the head. The boat also was damaged "as if something had hit it."
The man's name was not released pending notification of his relatives.
