Officer dies after crashing motorcycle

NORTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, Fla. (WSVN) -- An off-duty officer died after crashing his motorcycle Sunday morning.

According to police, Sweetwater Officer Brian Marrero lost control of his personal motorcyle on Interstate 75 southbound near 138th Street in Northwest Miami-Dade.

Marrero crashed into a guard rail, was ejected off the vehicle, possibly due to high winds, police said.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.
