MIAMI (WSVN) -- Rough waters from Hurricane Sandy viciously rocked a cruise ship as it sailed past Miami on a Caribbean cruise over the weekend.

The ship was tossed in nearly every direction, shifting water from inside the pool onto the deck and even into the hallways.

The impact of the storm caused waves to slam into sliding doors, shattering glassware as it hit the ground and tossing furniture from side to side. Store shelves on the 13th floor were emptied. Two upscale restaurants were also damaged.

Passengers were told to stay in their cabins in order to stay safe. The ship was eventually able to dock in Port Canaveral. It was several hours late but intact. No one was seriously injured.

Passengers said the crew did an excellent job assuring everyone was safe.
