COCONUT GROVE, Fla. (WSVN) -- Police have arrested a man in connection to a stabbing on Halloween night.

Twenty-one-year-old Anevri Moreira has been arrested and charged with one count of attempted second-degree murder.

According to police, four people were stabbed after an altercation at around 3:15 a.m. Thursday. The stabbing happened after a Halloween bash on the 3200 block of Grand Avenue. "According to what I'm being told," said Miami Police Officer Kenia Reyes, "the crowd was coming from the Halloween event, and as the crowd was being dispersed, the fight broke out and as a result, four people were stabbed."

One of the victims had to be revived after going into cardiac arrest.

Emergency crews transported all the victims to Ryder Trauma. One was in "extremely critical condition" and three others suffered serious injuries. On Thursday afternoon, one of the victims needed to return into surgery.

Wednesday night, family and friends waited anxiously on their loved ones. Melissa Torres said she was waiting for her children's father to get out of surgery. "Well, he's still in surgery, so we're waiting for him to get out."

"Because of the amount of police presence we were able not to just recover the knife but also apprehend the person that may have been the one that stabbed all four victims," said Reyes.

Police said the motive behind the stabbing is unclear. Police are asking for anyone who witnessed the fight and stabbing to come forward. If you have any information on this stabbing, you can also choose to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS. Remember, you can always remain anonymous, and you may be eligible for a reward.
