Police respond to Coral Springs double shooting

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. (WSVN) -- Two people were shot near the area of West Sample Road and Coral Springs Drive, late Friday night.

The victims were shot in an apartment complex at 10554 West Sample Road. They were taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition and are believed to have life-threatening gunshot wounds.

Police were seen carrying a child away from the crime scene, but it remains unknown if the child was in any way involved in the incident.

One man surrendered to police and is now in police custody.
