NORTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, Fla. (WSVN) -- Police said a South Florida homeowner was forced to fire on two armed men who robbed him.

The armed robbery occurred Sunday, near Northwest 100th Street and 22nd Avenue. Investigators said the victim was collecting rent money when the two men approached him and pistol whipped him before robbing him.

That is when the homeowner took matters into his own hands. "As soon as I was able to move, I went in my car and took my .357 and went after them, shot one, and he dropped his shoe," said Luis Valdeon. "Now, the whole police department is looking for the guy. I'm pretty sure he's going to appear somewhere pretty soon with a little hole in his butt or something."

If you have any information on this armed robbery, call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS. Remember, you can always remain anonymous, and you may be eligible for a reward.
