Winterfest coming to South Florida

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (WSVN) -- It's the start of the holiday season, and the kick-off to the Seminole Hard Rock Winterfest Boat Parade.

The seas are draped in white as Winterfest comes to South Florida. Now is the time to register your boat.

The grand marshal of this years' parade is none other than Inside Edition's Deborah Norville. "I cannot wait to set sail with you on Saturday, Dec. 15, right along Fort Lauderdale's Intracoastal Waterway. It is going to be a blast," said Norville. "I look forward to taking part in the festivities of this special event. It will be a spectacular evening, especially if you are part of it. I'll see you then."

"It brings excitement," said Phil Madow of Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. "I mean, we're all about the flare and entertainment in society, in South Florida. Certainly, she represent us very proud, and I think she'll be a great grand marshal."

The Seminole Hard Rock Winterfest Boat Parade kicks off Saturday, Dec. 15, at 6:30 p.m. in Downtown Fort Lauderdale.
