Teen charged with arson

DAVIE, Fla. (WSVN) -- A teen has been charged with arson after a fire destroyed a non-profit organization.

According to police, the teen set a garbage can on fire that quickly spread to a building housing the Ease foundation on Southwest 43rd Street and 57th Terrace in Davie.

The organization provides assistance to prevent homelessness.

The fire burned through the food and toys they had planned to distribute to families over the holidays.
