South Florida help superstorm victims

MIAMI (WSVN) -- South Floridians are giving back and helping Hurricane Sandy victims.
Operation Jersey Strong has planned a massive response to the superstorm. The cause accepted donations Wednesday and will continue on Sunday. It will provide aid and comfort to thousands where residents felt the biggest impact.
The community is coming together as supporting organizations and individuals donate for this one week relief effort. "It's great to see the community come out so strong and support such a good cause when there's so many people that are in need. Florida knows what it's like to have the impact of a hurricane; New Jersey has really no clue," said Tracy Minervini, a relief effort coordinator.
