1 found dead in charred home

POMPANO BEACH, Fla. (WSVN) -- Broward Sheriff's Office homicide detectives are investigating the death of person found in a home that was engulfed in flames.

Firefighters responded to the house fire located at 2480 NE 12th Terrace, Thursday morning. Once they put out the fire, they discovered a body inside the home. Officials are not sure if the person was dead before the fire erupted.

Crews are working to ventilate the home, so BSO detectives can investigate.
