DAVIE, Fla. (WSVN) -- The Davie Police Department has lifted the lock down at the central campus of Broward College after a staff member had reported seeing someone possibly armed with a gun.
It would turn out that the staff member had confused a butane lighter for the alleged weapon.
Davie Police cruisers were blocking the entrance to the campus, around 1:30 p.m. Thursday in response to a report that came from the library on campus. They cleared away from the scene about an hour later.
