2 shot in hospital parking lot

DELRAY BEACH, Fla. (WSVN) -- Officials are searching for two gunmen who wounded two people outside of a hospital.

The shooting occurred in the parking lot of Delray Medical Center, located on 5352 Linton Boulevard, Thursday night. According to police, a gunman reportedly opened fire on the two victims while they were on their way to visit a patient.

The shooting forced authorities to lock down the hospital. "You could see everyone was on heightened alert," said visitor Ronald Molfetto. "Every section that I went through, every nurse's station, or wherever it was, I was constantly looked at and asked what am I doing here."

Officials said the victims are in stable condition.

Police said the subject's motive is unknown. They continue to investigate and search for the shooter.
