El Dorado opens new location

PEMBROKE PINES, Fla. (WSVN) -- A popular South Florida furniture store is getting a makeover.

El Dorado's newly expanded showroom along Pines Boulevard in Pembroke Pines was unveiled Thursday night.

The store is the largest in all of Florida. "With all the economic situation that is going on around the country, El Dorado has never hesitated to move forward, to say to every employee, almost 1,000 employees in all, saying we're here, we're going to be here," said El Dorado CEO Pedro Capo. "We're going to be the best we can, one customer, one employee at a time. So, God, thank you."

The grand opening will be Saturday.

The first 150 customers to arrive will get a $150 furniture gift card.
