Metrorail employee found dead on tracks

NORTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, Fla. (WSVN) -- The Miami-Dade Police Department is conducting a death investigation at a Metrorail station.
The Metrorail station closed for most of the day after an employee somehow died on the train tracks, Monday morning. It remains unclear why he was working on tracks that were in use at the time.
Police have been at the Earlington Heights Station In Northwest Miami-Dade since around 9 in the morning investigating.
According to police investigators, the person found dead on the tracks, late Monday morning, is a Metrorail employee. The employee was described by police as a male in his 40s. They have not released his identity.
The Earlington Heights Metrorail Station was shut down until just before 3 p.m. as police continued to investigate. Transit officials had to use buses to shuttle people back and forth.
