Man arrested after abducting woman

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. (WSVN) -- A woman who was abducted from her job in Deerfield Beach has been found safe.
Police have arrested 32-year-old Vinson Jerome Rattray, Jr. who, they said, abducted Latonya Peak, an employee at the clinic where he was a patient.
Officials said Rattray met Peak a few months ago at the clinic where she worked, and he became infatuated with her and eventually stalked her. Peak told police at one point, she even had to change her phone number.
Rattray showed up to the Amadeo Trinchitella Deerfield Beach High School Health Center, located at 910 SW 15th St., at around 1 p.m. Monday. Rattray abducted Peak at gunpoint and later abandoned his vehicle a few miles away from the clinic.
Seven hours later, at around 8:30 p.m., a SWAT team along with the Coral Springs Police Department successfully captured Rattray who was hiding inside a Coral Springs apartment with Peak and another person. The third person apparently lives in the apartment, according to police. Police are not sure what his relation is to Rattray.
All three were taken to the Coral Springs Police Department.
Police said Peak was not injured, but she will be taken to a nearby hospital for a full evaluation.
