School warns parents of meningitis outbreak

TAMARAC, Fla. (WSVN) -- A dangerous diagnosis at a South Florida school.
Challenger Elementary in Tamarac warned parents in a letter that a student was infected with bacterial meningitis.
Major signs are high fever, chills, lethargy, intense headaches, nausea, vomiting, stiff neck or spine and a rash.
Any student showing symptoms will be excluded from the school unless they get cleared by a medical professional.
