Flock of birds cause emergency landing

FORT MYERS, Fla. (WSVN) -- A real life version of Angry Birds occurred when a bird struck a plane.

A bird hit a US Airways jet forcing it to make an emergency landing in Fort Myers.

The plane was carrying 73 people heading to Charlotte from Key West when it was forced to divert just after take-off.

The aircraft was taken out of service for maintenance. The passengers were put on another flight.
