Streets become flooded due to high tide

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (WSVN) -- A flood of trouble occurred for drivers in Fort Lauderdale Beach.

Traffic delays remain on A1A after the high tide flooded the streets.

The traffic flow has been restricted to one Northbound lane and one Southbound lane near Northeast 16th Court.

The Florida Department of Transportation installed about 25-hundred feet of concrete barrier wall to prevent further erosion.

The high tide damaged the sea walls and sidewalk following the continued beach erosion after Hurricane Sandy.
