Yacht sinks after catching fire, 3 rescued

MIAMI BEACH, Fla. (WSVN) -- A mega yacht is now under 700 feet of water after catching fire off the coast of Miami Beach.

Investigators said flames engulfed the yacht when it exploded Saturday. "Pretty amazing. We looked out our room and saw all this smoke, smoke coming in high rated speed," said Mike Kennedy.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue and the Coast Guard arrived on scene to find the 80-foot mega yacht called "Blissful" on fire. Officials notified Sea Tow to extinguish the flames. "When I got there, it started from the top of the vessel; it started eating the fiber glass," said Fernando Sordo of Sea Tow.

Officials said the three people aboard jumped into the water and were rescued.
