MIAMI (WSVN) -- A New Year's tradition in South Florida is set for a name change.
"Big Orange," which rises to the top of the Intercontinental Hotel to bring in the new year, will now be called "La Gran Naranja."
The change was to recognize that oranges were first brought to Florida in 1513 by Ponce de Leon and recognizes Spanish contributions to the Sunshine State.
