1 injured in shooting at apartment complex

TAMARAC, Fla. (WSVN) -- Police are investigating a shooting at an apartment complex that sent one man to the hospital.

The shooting happened Tuesday morning, just after 6, at the Midora at Woodmont apartments along Northwest 78th Street and 78th Avenue. Investigators said a woman and her boyfriend were in the apartment when they were confronted by the woman's ex-husband.

Broward Sheriff's Office deputies said the woman's ex-husband came to the apartment and kicked in their door. That is when the boyfriend opened fire, striking the ex-husband.

Rescue crews airlifted the woman's ex-husband to Broward Health North, where the extent of his injuries remain unknown.
