FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (WSVN) -- The Florida Department of Transportation said it could take several months to fix erosion damage along A1A in Fort Lauderdale.

About 2500 feet of damaged infrastructure was left behind by seasonal high tides and storm surges from Hurricane Sandy.

Crews are expected to repaint the pavement and place temporary water-filled barriers between Northeast 14th Court and Northeast 17th Court.
