Judge delays hearing for man behind MIA scare

MIAMI (WSVN) -- A judge has postponed the court date for a Miami International Airport passenger who allegedly claimed to have a bomb in his luggage.

Alejandro Hurtado was flying from Miami to Guatemala when he was questioned about items in his bag. Officials said Hurtado told inspectors he was carrying dynamite before he was arrested.

Though Miami-Dade Police evacuated Concourse J as a precaution, no explosives were found.

The judge has scheduled the hearing for Wednesday after the court ruled, Tuesday morning, that Hurtado does not qualify for a public defender.
