Police search for home burglars

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. (WSVN) -- A South Florida family is devastated after robbers burglarized their home.
Monica Brown and her family are now taking extra precautions after thieves broke into her mother-in-law's Miami Gardens home in early November.
The crooks took dirt bikes, a flat screen TV, a game system and a magnifier reader for Brown's son's computer. Her 17-year-old son is legally blind and attends school at St. Agustin during the week.
The robbery occurred one week after a motorcycle accident left Brown's husband in a coma. "Basically, we don't want to stay in the house by our selves," said Brown. "People that do that don't have no heart for people, even though they know he works hard for what he has and she works hard for what she has, they just don't care."
Brown just hopes someone will come forward to return her belongings.
The family does not know what day the robbery occurred because they have been spending a lot of time at the hospital.
If you have any information on this robbery, call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS. Remember, you can always remain anonymous, and you may be eligible for a reward.
