FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (WSVN) -- A teen convicted in the fiery attack on Michael Brewer is, once again, seeking a new trial.

Matthew Bent was convicted of aggravated battery. On Thursday his lawyers argued that, during his trial, none of the witnesses testified that Bent intended to set Brewer on fire.

Bent and two others doused Brewer with alcohol, then set him on fire in Deerfield Beach in 2009.

Brewer suffered burns to more than 65 percent of his body.
