Million-dollar makeover for Key Biscayne park

KEY BISCAYNE, Fla. (WSVN) -- South Florida voters have approved a $50 million dollar renovation for Key Biscayne's Crandon Park.
The organizers of the Sony Open asked for upgrades like shaded pavilions and multi-story stadium additions in order to compete with other world class venues.
Former tennis star Andy Roderick said, "As tennis players we take the responsibility of handling a gift like that and doing the right things with it. I know I won't be responsible for that anymore, but I have a lot of confidence for the players at the top, and the way they'll receive that."
Although voters approved the new project, it now needs support from a special committee that is required to sign off on any major changes.
