Woman critically injured after hit and run

HIALEAH, Fla. (WSVN) -- A woman is fighting for her life at the hospital, and the driver responsible for putting her there is on the run.
According to Hialeah Police, the 48-year-old female victim, who was not identified, lies in critical condition at Jackson Memorial Hospital, late Friday night.
Police found her lying on West 24th Avenue, near 52nd Street, after someone saw her there and called 911, just after 9 p.m.. Police assume she lives in the area.
She was airlifted to Ryder Trauma Center in critical condition.
The vehicle fled the scene, and there is no one in custody at this time. Late in the night, police did stop a car near the scene, but it remains unclear whether this car is somehow involved in this hit and run.
