Man faces murder charges for stabbing homeless man

DEERFIELD BEACH, Fla. (WSVN) -- The suspect of a killer confrontation appeared in court in South Florida.
Twenty-three-year-old John Stabile faces first-degree murder charges for stabbing a homeless man to death.
A Homeless Voice representative said these attacks are disheartening but not surprising. "They have no doors," said Founder Sean Cononie, "no windows, no alarms, no walls to protect them, so sleeping on the street is a risk in itself. Then you have the stigmatization of homeless and people dehumanize the homeless, and they hunt and seek to kill them."
When police arrived to the scene, they found Stabile waiting for them with the knife by his side.
Stabile told police he intended to kill Saturday, and the man in the alley was his target.
Florida is one of the top states in the country for hate crimes against the homeless.
