Correctional officer fatally shot in Miami Gardens

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. (AP) -- Police are investigating the shooting death of a Miami-Dade correctional officer.

The Miami Herald reports 46-year-old Andrew Johnson was fatally shot in the driveway of his Miami Gardens home Saturday night.

Police don't know the motive of the shooting. An investigation continues.

No further details were immediately available.
