Robber steals cell phone from man

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (WSVN) -- Police have released surveillance pictures of a thief who a grabbed a man's cell phone.

Surveillance pictures show the crook sneaking up behind the victim in broad daylight outside Laz One Auto Repair on 37th Street and Davie Boulevard back on Nov. 23.

Investigators said the robber snatched the man's Galaxy cell phone as he was using it. The victim tried chasing the robber, but he escaped.

Police are now looking for a man who stands 5 feet 8 inches with short-cropped hair.
