MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. (WSVN) -- A woman had been charged after she opened fire on her supervisor in front of an office building, Thursday morning.

Around 9:30 a.m. officials said two women got into a verbal dispute at 1111 Park Center Boulevard. "When the supervisor arrived at the office, the employee stepped outside and shot several times at the supervisor," said Miami Gardens Police Captain Ralph Suarez. "She was not hit, even though she is very nervous and scared, and she is in good condition. We have the offender in custody, and we're conducting interviews right now and the investigation."

A security guard in the area witnessed the incident and took the gun from the woman before pinning her down until officers arrived. "She ran out and followed the car all the way to the side of the parking lot. Eventually, they had a small dispute and that's when Lupe decided to take her gun and she started shooting at her boss," said security guard Eddy Hernandez.

According to police, they have identified the suspect as 53-year-old Guadalupe Hernandez.

Employees said Guadalupe's boss is Linda Vergara. "One of the bullets went through the pants," said Hernandez.

One man who works inside the office building was shocked by the shooting. "Coming here going to work, it's crazy you know. It's shocking. This lady, she seemed like a nice lady, I don't know what happened, why she snapped like that. It's crazy," said Brian.

Hernandez said he asked Guadalupe if she was OK prior to the shooting. "I saw that she had like a weird look on her face and I asked her, 'Are you OK?' and she seemed angry and she wouldn’t tell me anything," said Hernandez. "So I asked her again, 'Are you OK?' and that’s when she replied to me and said, 'Yeah, I'm OK.'"

"She was trying to reload her gun and when she reloaded her gun, my friend he was able to come from behind her and take the gun away from her," said Hernandez.

Guadalupe has been charged with attempted murder.

No one was injured.

Police continue to investigate.
