UM release statement in dorm burglary case

CORAL GABLES, Fla. (WSVN) -- The University of Miami is speaking out after a campus confusion.
A premature campus alert was sent out to students as officers followed up with a dorm room laptop theft, Wednesday night.
Police created road blocks and spotted a suspect after the victim received an anonymous call.
University officials apologized after they issued an alert describing the suspect as a black male.
They released a statement that read: "In an attempt to quickly notify the campus that a subject was at large, an active police perimeter was being set up and that people should find a secure location and avoid the area. An incomplete university ENN, or emergency notification network alert, was initially distributed. The university regrets the error."
Officers have arrested 21-year-old Del'neco Streeter.
Authorities are still looking for a second suspect.
