Man arrested after police chase

NORTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, Fla. (WSVN) -- A man is behind bars Monday morning after police said they were forced to fire.

Authorities said an officer spotted the man in Opa-Locka Sunday. According to investigators, the officer was trying to stop the man but he took off on a dirt bike.

The chase came to a crash near Northwest 39th Street and 12th Avenue, where the man was arrested.

It's unclear why the officer opened fire. The man on the motorcycle was not hit.
