Authorities crack down on illegal parties

NORTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, Fla. (WSVN) -- The Miami-Dade Police Department cracked down on illegal parties over the weekend in an effort to keep teens safe this holiday season.

Officers conducted operation "Safe Ranches," after a recent surge of illegal parties on rural ranches and farms in Northwest Miami-Dade.

Police officers stopped cars near Northwest 154th Street and Okeechobee Road. Officials targeted DUIs, open containers, suspended licenses and weapons violations.
