Local police host softball benefit tournament for vets

WEST MIAMI-DADE, Fla. (WSVN) -- The Miami-Dade Police Department coordinated a fund-raising softball tournament for the non-profit group Wounded Warriors.
The group includes athletic veterans and active soldiers who have lost limbs while serving our country. "All these proceeds are going for them," said Miami-Dade Police Detective Alvaro Zabaletta. "We put this together that way they can understand and see that Miami-Dade County really does care and appreciate what they do for our country."
Local teams within the community also took part in the fun at Tropical Park.
Police, fire and military all participated in the games.
