Car accident causes fuel spill

DEERFIELD BEACH, Fla. (WSVN) -- Crews had to deal with a messy and potentially dangerous fuel leak after a driver lost control and crashed his vehicle on a major South Florida highway.

Skyforce HD hovered over a wreck on Interstate 95 in the northbound lanes along Sample Road in Deerfield Beach, Monday morning.

The accident caused fuel to leak on the road. Three lanes were blocked off as crews cleaned up the mess.

Traffic was backed up for more than two miles. The lanes have since reopened.

One of the cars involved was damaged and later towed away from the scene.
