Police catch 2 suspected of stealing chain

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (WSVN) -- Deputies chased down two people suspected of snatching the jewelry off someone's neck in Lauderdale Lakes, Tuesday.

Police blocked off streets in the area of Northwest 13th Avenue and Ninth Street in Fort Lauderdale just before 1 p.m. Tuesday, in their search for the two suspected crooks who lead police on a chase after allegedly stealing a gold chain.

Broward Sheriff's Office deputies took one subject into custody a block north of where the chase ended, off 12th Avenue, and the other fled into the community.

Deputies caught the second subject shortly after setting up a perimeter in a residential area of Fort Lauderdale.
