Police catch 3 suspected of burglary

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (WSVN) -- Police chased three people suspected of a burglary, after responding to a call of a "burglary in progress" in the area of Melrose Park, Wednesday.

Fort Lauderdale Police received a description of a car with three suspects allegedly involved in a burglary, heading westbound on Broward Boulevard, around 12 p.m., Wednesday.

The chase came to an end on West Broward Boulevard and 31st Avenue in Fort Lauderdale, when the car swerved to avoid oncoming traffic and hit a curb.

Three doors opened and two men were arrested at the vehicle while one person ran across the street to a nearby field on 31st Avenue, where he was apprehended and taken into custody.

All three occupants of the car are in custody but it is unknown what, if anything, they may have stolen.
