Former Doral chief speaks out after termination

DORAL, Fla. (WSVN) -- Doral's former police chief spoke out a day after he was fired.
Ricardo Gomez discussed his abrupt termination on Wednesday after allegations he misappropriated more than $26,000 in taxpayer money, though an FDLE investigation cleared him of any wrongdoing.
Gomez is now threatening legal action. "I never committed any crime. I didn't take money. This, that or the other thing, and for him to keep discrediting me and saying these things, it's wrong," said Gomez.
Doral's interim city manager said he spent several days reviewing a report detailing the FDLE investigation, after which he thought it best to fire Gomez anyway.
