BOCA RATON, Fla. (WSVN) -- Thursday marks an agonizing anniversary for one South Florida family. Five years after a mother and her young daughter were found murdered at a mall, police are still desperate for clues.

"They don't have peace," cried JoAnn Bruno. "How can anyone have peace when your daughter was tortured? Her last moments on this earth, she was tortured. She died with fear."

Nancy and her 7-year-old daughter, Joey Bochicchio were last seen alive on grainy surveillance video at Boca's Town Center Mall Dec. 13, 2007. After being forced to withdraw cash from an ATM, they were left bound and gagged inside their SUV and shot dead and close range. "I want people to understand that they have to be careful at these malls," said Stanley Bruno. "Watch what they're doing, keep a lookout coz you never know what's gonna happen to you. You don't want your family to go through what we've gone through."

Boca Police released a sketch of a man who abducted another mother and child from the same mall, just four months earlier. In that incident, the mother talked him into letting them go. "Yeah, I'm terrified," said the other victim. "Especially knowing that he murdered a mom and her daughter."

After five years, no one is about to talk about giving up on this case yet. It remains a very active investigation. Police have pursued more than 1,900 leads in the case. The reward stands at $350,000.

Police and investigators said they are determined to find the killer. "We're not going to give up on this," said Boca Raton Police Chief Dan Alexander. "We feel very confident in the evidence we do have, that if we can identify a suspect, we can tie that suspect to that evidence."

"God only knows how long they were driven around and what they went through," cried JoAnn Bruno. "I need someday to go to her. I promised her that one day this animal was caught. I need to do that. I need to bring her peace. I need to go to the cemetery where I was gonna be today. I need to tell them that this man was caught."

The reward is $350,000 for the right anonymous tip to Palm Beach Crime Stoppers. If you have any information on the murders of Nancy and her daughter, Joey Bochicchio, call Palm Beach Crime Stoppers at 1-800-458-TIPS. Remember, you can always remain anonymous, and you may be eligible for the reward.
