Residents prepare for Winterfest Boat Parade

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (WSVN) -- Residents along the Intracoastal are lighting the way for a holiday tradition in South Florida.

Some Fort Lauderdale homeowners put up their holiday lights and decorations ahead of this Saturday's Winterfest Boat Parade.

Residents along the 12-mile route were encouraged to show off their holiday spirit.

The parade is set for 6:30 p.m. Saturday along the Intracoastal.
