Carnival collects gifts for Toys for Tots

MIRAMAR, Fla. (WSVN) -- Carnival Cruise Lines hosted another year of collecting donations for Toys for Tots, Friday.
It's the season of giving. For 10 years, Carnival employees have donated hundreds of toys bikes, board games, basketballs, soccer balls to Toys for Tots. "We raised $35,000 all displayed there," said Carnival Cruise Lines' Dave Chang.
The charity is feeling the need this year more then than last year. "We are higher in our requests this year. We are low on donations," said Toys for Tots representative Marine Sgt. Eddie Fonseca. "Donate for a good cause that is Toys for Tots."
Carnival employees had fun and got into the holiday spirit with their donations and decorations related to a theme, and dressed up.
The 2012 theme this year was Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory. "I am Willy Wonka. Welcome to the Willy Wonka Chocolate Factory," said Carnival Cruise Lines' Richard Tintera.
Employees split into four groups and competed for the best display.
