Thieves ransack home, steal Christmas gifts

MIAMI (WSVN) -- A South Florida mom is dealing with some holiday heartbreak after thieves ransacked her home and took off with some of Christmas presents she has purchased for her kids.

The robbery happened at the home of Adrienne Dennis, near 54th Street and Sixth Avenue in Miami.

One of the gifts taken included a tablet for her 7-year-old son. "It doesn't make any sense," said Dennis. "I work too hard for this. Everything that he has, everything that I bought for him for Christmas, I have to explain to him you know, where his stuff is and who took it from him, what were they looking for? They went through his drawers, they ransacked his room. I really just don't understand that."

The thieves also took a video game system from the son's room and a television from her bedroom.
