MIAMI BEACH, Fla. (WSVN) -- One South Florida organization that supports kids with cancer, found cause for celebration this holiday season.

The Children Cancer Caring Center held it's 47th annual holiday extravaganza at the Miami Beach Convention Center Sunday afternoon.

Hundreds of child cancer patients, survivors and their families got a chance to enjoy the holiday spirit with some face-painting, music and festive food.

"It's just amazing," said Sandy Erb. "It makes such a difference for the kids when they spend so much time at doctors and hospitals to be able to come out and have fun like this. This is amazing."

The children each took home a gift bag filled with presents that were placed under the 20-foot Christmas tree.

Event organizers said it's the largest party in the region dedicated to children with cancer.
