Father receives photo of captive Marine

MIAMI (WSVN) -- The fight for freedom continues for a former U.S. Marine from South Florida jailed in Mexico.
According to "Fox News Latino," Jon Hammar's father received a photo of the Marine corporal shackled to a bed inside his cell.
The photo was sent to his father from an anonymous e-mail account.
Corporal Hammar is accused of bringing a gun across the border, although, his family insists, he was told he could do so by an authority at the border crossing.
Hammar's mother appeared on "Fox and Friends" early Tuesday morning to discuss a letter written by a Mexican government official to congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen. "It's devastating, it's basically no help at all, and one thing in that letter-- I didn't open that letter until this morning-- they specifically state that he is being chained because of his military experience," said Olivia Hammar.
Hammar has been in in jail for four months.
Lawmakers are working to secure his release, hoping he will be home by Christmas.
