Fire forces family out of home

NORTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, Fla. (WSVN) -- A South Florida family is OK after their home caught on fire Friday night.
Fire fighters battled the blaze at the home near Northwest 120th Street and 16th Avenue. Authorities said the fire erupted on the second floor of the home and quickly began spreading.
The family escaped safely before fire officials arrived. "We had an early morning fire where Miami-Dade Fire Rescue and paramedics responded," said Miami Dade Fire Battalion Chief Danny Cardeso. "Reports of a missing cat that we haven't located at this time. The house was inhabited but luckily the homeowner was able to get out."
No one was injured in this fire.
